Trekking to the top of Mount Agung in Bali, via Besakih requires a good physical fitness, because the path is steep and hard. And although no mountaineering experience or equipment is required, some spots do require all four limbs to climb up. If you are not experienced or just want to try a slightly easier path, you can opt for our Mount Agung Trekking that starts at the Pasar Agung Temple. The route brings you to the south east rim of the volcanic crater. This side is positioned 100 meters lower than the actual mountain peak, and the total trekking only takes about 7 to 8 hours.
Once you arrive at the rim, your eyes will be treated by a majestic surreal view of the surrounding nature, as well as an intimidating view into Mount Agung’s holy crater, and a beautiful sunrise. The breathtaking beauty of this point will make all your efforts well paid off, and this trip will surely satisfy your sense of adventure as well.
